Vancouver 2010 Aboriginal Youth Legacy Program

Vancouver 2010 Aboriginal Youth Legacy Program

Supporting initiatives for Aboriginal youth across Canada

The Vancouver 2010 Aboriginal Youth Legacy Program will support education, sport, culture and sustainability initiatives for Aboriginal youth across Canada beyond the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.

Raising funds through the sale of Aboriginal licensed products

The Vancouver 2010 Aboriginal Youth Legacy Program is a key legacy component of the Vancouver 2010 Aboriginal Licensing and Merchandising Program. One third of the royalties received by the Vancouver Organizing Committee for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games (VANOC) from the sale of Aboriginal licensed products will go toward this program.

Beyond the 2010 Winter Games, the Vancouver 2010 Aboriginal Youth Legacy Program will support sport, culture, sustainability and education initiatives for youth within the Four Host First Nations (Squamish, Lil’wat, Musqueam and Tsleil-Waututh), as well as for First Nations, Inuit and Métis youth across Canada.

The Vancouver 2010 Aboriginal Youth Legacy Program was created by Four Host First Nations and VANOC. 2010 Legacies Now has been appointed as the program manager.
